HUMAN RIGHTS ASSESSMENT POLICY

1. Purpose

Qasim Khan & Company (QKC) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics, fairness, and respect for human rights in all operations. Aligned with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, this policy ensures that QKC integrates human-rights principles into quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety management systems.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all QKC departments, sites, and offices across Pakistan; all employees, labor, subcontractors, and suppliers; and all stages of civil, road, water, and infrastructure works from mobilization to demobilization.

3. Core Commitments

QKC pledges to respect and protect human rights, prohibit child or forced labor, ensure fair wages and decent working conditions, provide safe and environmentally responsible workplaces, guarantee non-discrimination, prevent harassment, empower freedom of expression, protect community rights, and integrate human rights assessments into ISO systems.

4. Responsibilities

Top Management ensures policy implementation and ISO integration. Project Managers implement welfare and safety standards at site level. HR & Admin maintain lawful
employment practices and handle grievances. HSE & Quality conduct internal audits under ISO standards. All workers must follow the policy and report violations.

5. Human Rights Assessment (HRA)

Human-rights risks are identified during project planning and supplier evaluation. Labor conditions and community impacts are reviewed through regular audits. Non-conformities are corrected under ISO 9001 CAPA procedures and reviewed during management review meetings.

6. Grievance & Reporting

Concerns can be reported to HR, via complaint box, email (info@qasimkhancompany.com), or phone/WhatsApp (+92 333 3282768). Reports are acknowledged within 3 working days and resolved within 15 days. No retaliation is tolerated.

7. Compliance & Monitoring

Periodic audits verify adherence to this policy. Contractors must comply with QKC standards. Continuous monitoring ensures lawful wages and safe working conditions. Repeated non compliance may lead to termination.

8. Training & Awareness

All employees and site labor receive induction on rights, behavior, and grievance procedures. Annual refresher training covers ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), and ISO 45001 (safety). Posters and awareness materials are displayed in Urdu and English.

9. Review & Continuous Improvement

This policy is reviewed annually and updated as per labor laws, ISO standards, and audit results. QKC commits to continuous improvement in human rights and social accountability.
